Delivering reliable power, competitive rates, and quality service to energize our communities!
关于我们
LCEC is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative. We energize the community by providing reliable, cost-competitive electric and emerging energy solutions and quality service to our customer members. We serve customers throughout five counties in pristine, beautiful Southwest Florida. LCEC was formed in 1940 to serve areas no other utility wanted to serve. Today the membership has grown to nearly 200,000 and includes cities such as Cape Coral, Marco Island, Sanibel-Captiva and Everglades City along with areas such as North Fort Myers, Immokalee, Ave Maria and parts of Lehigh Acres. Employees are committed to serving the community through volunteerism and philanthropic endeavors. LCEC is among the top contributors to United Way and is involved in everything from the arts, education, and wellness to local economic development, Chambers of Commerce and many civic organizations. Energizing the community is about delivering electricity but it is so much more to LCEC. It is people, power and possibilities.

The LCEC Energy EmPOWERment Program visited today! Employees enjoyed an engaging electrical safety show presented by The National Theatre for Children (NTC). The same program that is currently touring LCEC territory schools. The performance empowers students, families, teachers, and the community to learn about how electricity works, the dangers associated with electricity, and much more! Member Outreach Administrator Laura Puerto also showcased the LCEC Zap Free Zone, a mobile tabletop display that demonstrates how to stay safe around overhead and underground electrical facilities. For more information and to schedule a school visit, visit LCEC.net or contact [email protected].

LCEC is proud to donate gently used office furniture to the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades Counties. These pieces, once part of the LCEC workspace, now have the opportunity to find a new home in the community. It's a small gesture with a big impact, and we're grateful to play a part in making a difference. #LiveUnited #PoweredByLCEC

LCEC is one of more than 850 not-for-profit electric distribution cooperatives located throughout 46 states and serving 75 percent of the land mass in the nation. Cooperatives are in business to serve members at the cost of service. This business model is different from investor-owned utilities, which typically share profits with investors globally. Cooperatives also vary from municipal, or government operated, utilities which may utilize revenues to fund other projects and programs.
