Long Beach Early Learning Hub

The Mayor's Fund for Long Beach and Long Beach Early Learning Hub are devasted to share that our team member, Yesenia Hernandez, has passed away from a sudden on-set illness.? She departed late Friday, February 14th surrounded by family and friends. We will share information in accordance?with the family's wishes as it becomes available, including plans for a Celebration of Life. Together, as we grieve, we will find opportunities to honor Yesenia's memory and legacy. For now, working to build a future where all children, families, and early education/childcare providers can thrive is a wonderful way to honor her in the work you all do.?

The Hub is proud to be part of Long Beach’s 2024-2029 Early Childhood Strategic Plan! ?? The ECE plan focuses on expanding services and holistic support for children ages 0-8, ensuring families receive the care and resources they need early on. The plan addresses access to education, developmental screenings, and coordinated care. The Hub continues to connect families to childcare and early learning opportunities—building a brighter future for our community’s youngest members! What an incredible first full year for the Long Beach Early Learning Hub! ?? In 2024, we saw tremendous growth and had the privilege of supporting our community in new and meaningful ways. From connecting families to affordable, quality childcare, to helping them navigate the path to work or school, we’ve empowered parents every step of the way. ?? We’re also proud to have supported childcare providers with our centralized Hub, online search feature, universal application, and creating a space that brings providers together and features our sector as a strong, mixed delivery system, with lots of quality options to support families and business needs alike. Together, we are creating a more connected, equitable, and supportive childcare network for all!
