??? Employee Spotlight ??? Meet Benny Rios, our Director of Operations for Phoenix, AZ! Benny joined the LAZ family back in January 2012 as a part-time Traffic Director, Cashier, and Valet, and has since worked his way up through a variety of roles to his current leadership position overseeing a diverse portfolio, including hotel valets, commercial garages, surface lots, and more. His journey is a true testament to hard work and dedication. From starting at SDSU to managing multiple garages in San Diego, relocating to Arizona to help expand the market, and ultimately achieving his dream role, Benny's story proves the power of perseverance. ?? One of his favorite parts of the job? Mentoring and coaching the next generation of LAZ managers. Seeing their pride when they achieve new milestones is what truly fuels his passion. Benny defines success as continuous growth, setting goals, and pushing yourself to overcome challenges. He lives by the advice: “Whatever you do, do it with passion. Learn new trades, set new standards, and if you fail, get up, dust yourself off, and NEVER EVER give up.” When he's not making an impact at work, you’ll find him enjoying family time at the beach or Disneyland (his favorite!). ????? Driving Change: Texas Medical Center At LAZ we are all about “Driving Change”. We seek to inspire people to find their own way to reduce environmental impact and live more sustainably. Robert Knox, Director of Parking Operations, and his team at Texas Medical Center, inspired by an ESG call to action, decided to implement new changes and make their location more environmentally friendly. Actions such as these serve as a prime example of how sustainability can be embedded into day-to-day operations and inspire in LAZ locations across the country. We thank Robert and the entire team for championing these efforts and we include the results below: ? Provided 60+ employees with LAZ water bottles / cups to reduce waste. ? Held an e-waste collection drive and recycled 17 devices. ?
