This is a spectacle of a project, to say the least, as we proudly watch 1 Java Street continue to evolve into the stunning two-tower complex it was envisioned to be. The white and light gray paneling continues to ascend the towers, framing the grid of windows throughout the elevations beside our WOLFFKRAN WOLFF 355, enhancing their sleek, modern aesthetic along the Greenpoint waterfront. This 834-unit residential development, occupying an entire city block, comprises two towers of 37 and 20 stories. Lavoranti continues to play a critical role in this development, providing essential crane operations for the lifting of equipment and materials and ensuring the project stays on track. Working alongside RNC Industries, LLC as the shell contractor and Lendlease as the general contractor, our team has been instrumental in driving progress. Marvel Architects serves as the executive and design architect and the interior designer for the market and affordable units. INC is responsible for the design of the public areas, while Crème lends its expertise as the interior designer for the townhouses. The second and tallest building at 1 Java Street has officially reached its 37-story apex, marking a significant milestone for the project. Spanning a 2.6-acre site along the East River waterfront in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, the development is reshaping the skyline with its bold architectural presence. The original two Wolffkran WOLFF 355 tower cranes were essential to the progress, with one now dismantled after the completion of the 20-story tower, while the remaining crane continues to play a crucial role in the construction of the taller tower. Designed by Marvel Architects, the development will feature 834 rental apartments, with 30 percent designated as affordable, along with 13,000 square feet of commercial space. Additionally, the project will include an 18,000-square-foot waterfront park and esplanade, connecting to the India Street Pier and enhancing the public space along the East River. With RNC Industries, LLC as the shell contractor and Lendlease overseeing the project as general contractor, the development is steadily moving toward completion in 2026.
