Hello, I’m Morgan Lamphere! I’m a seasoned executive in senior living, now driving the performance of communities throughout the US and Canada through Lauren Rose Senior Advisors. I live in Durham, NC with my husband of 18 years, Mark, and our two boys. The star of our family is our rescue pup, Romey, who is 5 years old. We rescued Romey in Rome, GA, where I was working on a new construction community, The Spires of Berry College. While I originally planned to attend law school, the closer I got to applying, the more I decided that wasn’t the path for me. Instead, I continued to work for Kaplan Test Prep, where I had been teaching and managing the Durham Center. Through this work, I stumbled upon an assisted living community where I taught some SAT prep classes in collaboration with the community’s marketing team. During the SAT classes, residents would wander in and participate in analogies and math problems, engaging with the students and their parents, a target audience for the community. That community was one of the largest Sunrise Senior Living communities in NC, and eventually, I applied for a job there as a sales counselor. Within a few short weeks, I knew I would spend my career in this industry. I saw first-hand how much support caregivers needed as they were caring for an aging parent. So began my decades of experience in #SeniorLiving, with a recent interest in focusing on #MemoryCare and #AssistedLiving. My mother, Lauren – the namesake of my company, has been a great inspiration for my work in senior care, emphasized by her move into a care facility and then, later, memory care. When I’m not working to help senior living communities thrive, you can find me with my family, keeping busy with my sons’ many activities, practices, shows, and games.? My goal with Lauren Rose Senior Advisors is to enhance the lives of seniors through exceptional care and community development. I strive to improve how we care for older adults by helping your community vision become a reality for seniors. I work to establish flourishing communities with happy residents and satisfied capital partners.

Today is World Mental Health day. It's so important to keep checking in with yourself and others. Especially in this difficult time, don't forget to keep up with your loved ones. In older adults, #MentalHealth can often be overlooked, but it's crucial that team members foster acceptance and show the compassionate nature of community living to all their residents. Mental health is just as important as physical health to overall well-being. We're keeping everyone impacted by hurricane season in our thoughts, and we hope everyone remains safe throughout the storms.
