Assisting UO startups with establishing a board of directors, hiring executive leadership, and attracting strategic advisors and investors, Launch Oregon is invested in the success of this innovation and commercialization process.

We are fortunate to be leading the charge in this space for the University of Oregon. We hope this article can act as a catalyst for other universities looking to put financial backing around their innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystems.
There is a trend for starting university-linked #spinout funds right now. Anecdotally we are hearing of a number of top institutions working on setting these up right now. Not every #university can stump up the money for a fund — or get around various legal obstacles to do so. But even then, there are some options to consider, from partnering with other universities to working with an existing external funds.
