? Congratulations to Launch Alaska Portfolio company Cache Energy on deploying its first #Alaska pilot project! A graduate of our 2023-2024 Tech Deployment Track, Cache’s innovative energy storage system uses tiny pellets made from limestone to capture excess wind and #solarpower and save it until it’s needed. ?? After the system was shipped to #Anchorage and set up at Halliburton, more than 200 businesspeople, elected officials and other Alaskans toured the site in August, and Cache aims to install 10 of the systems in Alaska communities by the end of 2025.
