Laughter League, formerly Slappy and Monday's Foundation for Laughter, is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, whose mission is to improve the lives of the children and families they serve through the transformational power of laughter. Laughter League is represented by Professional Healthcare Clown Programs at Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, Cook Children's Medical Center in Ft. Worth and Texas Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas. Additionally, Laughter League performers present assembly programs across the state of Texas in science, math and language arts. Finally, Laughter League produces a variety of performances from tented circus shows like Circo Metropolis to large scale festivals in various venues around the world.

Laughter League at UNGA Healing Arts Week!! Held on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly, UNGA Healing Arts Week 2024 was a dynamic program of events celebrating innovative approaches to global health and wellbeing through the arts. Produced by the Jameel Arts & Health Lab in collaboration with the World Health Organization, it was inspiring to learn about so many examples of research and practice that support social connection throughout New York City and beyond. Laughter League’s work is all about improving wellbeing through the arts. The specificity of our approach, with its focus on improvisation and connection, empowers hospitalized kids, their families and staff to not only be audience members but to participate in the live performance, interacting and directing the play. #JameelArtsHealthLab #WHO #ArtsandHealth
