In 2017, Elke S. Laughlin founded the Laughlin Consulting Group, creating a unique niche in the commercial real estate industry. This management consulting firm specializes in change management, organizational development, and leadership development services. Elke is a highly energetic and dynamic leader who brings a unique perspective to the consultancy world. With 30 years of industry experience, she has worked across various facets of commercial real estate, from privately held regional brokerage firms to global, publicly traded Fortune 500 and S&P 500 corporations. First and foremost, Elke is a strategist who understands both organizational and human capital. Her keen understanding of sales management and human behavior in a sales environment enhances her distinct talent in professional business coaching and sales training. Elke is also a teacher at heart, having served as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business Sales Excellence Institute. Additionally, she has guest lectured at the Real Estate Center at Texas A&M's Mays College of Business and The Lipsey School of Real Estate in Orlando, Florida.     As many of you know, I am certified in Behaviors and Motivators. When I begin working with a new client, the first step is to have them complete an assessment. At Laughlin Consulting Group, LLC, I partner with TTI Success Insights and rely on the TriMetrixDNA assessment. This powerful tool evaluates three critical areas: Behaviors (DISC), Motivators (Driving Forces), and Competencies. Once the assessment is complete, I conduct a thorough debrief session. This provides a space to dive into the report, address any questions, and clarify areas of uncertainty. A debrief offers numerous benefits, such as heightened self-awareness, enhanced communication skills, and personal and professional growth opportunities. It also encourages a better understanding of oneself and others, a key asset for meaningful development.     I can't believe it's been a week since I attended the 2024 NAI Global Property Management Council's Spring Conference in San Diego. Thank you, Elizabeth Barnes and Jimmy Black, for including me; it was a great conference! I enjoyed sharing with owners and managers how to apply change management principles in their offices to bring strategic change and enhance their company's culture and core values. I had a great time with colleagues and friends. I have always enjoyed being with this special group of people.
