Basement and attic insulation, triple-pane windows, and a multi-zoned heat pump—all designed to reduce energy waste and lower his carbon footprint. But Bailey’s vision went beyond the home itself. He saw the land as an opportunity to give back—to his household, his neighbors, and the more-than-human world. He used his background in organic farming to transform the backyard into a thriving, fertile garden, producing fresh food while improving soil health. He also carved out intentional pollinator habitat, ensuring that bees, butterflies, and other vital species could find refuge.
