???Tis the season of gratitude and wintering at LatinxEd. We’ve been reflecting on the power of community, cultura, and the courage it takes to lead with purpose. ?? At our Friendsgiving Potluck, we were reminded not only of our team’s culinary talents but also of our shared commitment—to each other, to advancing Latine leaders and learners across North Carolina, and to building a brighter future juntos. ?? May this season bring moments of togetherness, reflection, and connection. We’re so grateful for nuestra comunidad and the impact we’re creating together. #Gratitude #FromDreamstoAction #LatinxEd #SomosNC

?? The numbers tell a critical story: ~21% of North Carolina students are Latine, but only 4% of educators share their identity. On December 3rd, #GivingTuesday, we invite you to help us bridge this gap as we work to advance Latine leadership in North Carolina’s education system. Stay tuned to learn how you can help create a meaningful impact for generations to come! #FromDreamsToAction #RepresentationMatters #LatinxEd

?? Last week, our LatinxEd team enjoyed connecting with the NC State Belk Center team, doctoral students, community college leaders, and partners at the Dallas Herring Lecture! Keynote speaker Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart shared a powerful message about being courageous leaders and loving our students to success. ?? He proposes: "We must rebuild ourselves around a culture of caring that makes "love" structural, intentional, innovative, effective, and real. Loving students to success starts with listening to them." At LatinxEd, we deeply align with this ethic of love to inform the work that we do to uplift and nurture Latine leadership across the state. ?? Shoutout to the Belk Center team for their dedicated work with the DHL! A special shoutout to Nohemi Ramirez, 2023 LatinxEd Fellow, for her brilliant leadership behind the scenes! We see you and celebrate you!
