?? Wrapping Up the 2024 Latinx MBA Leadership Summit!?? Now in its 4th year, the Leadership Summit is dedicated to developing business leaders within this dynamic landscape, fostering connections, peer mentorship, and industry insights. This year’s theme, “Igniting Change,” encouraged attendees to activate as leaders in the U.S. economy as the Latinx GDP reached an impressive $3.6 trillion in 2022—positioning it as the fifth-largest economy in the world. This past weekend, the 2024 Leadership Summit took place at Nike Headquarters in Playa Vista, CA. The Summit was a huge success that brought together over 55 MBA student leaders from 30 MBA programs and more than 70 MBA alumni from diverse industries, all working toward a shared vision of growth and empowerment. ?Leadership Summit Speaker Spotlight - Student Track ? Latinx MBA is honored to announce Ximena Bobadilla, MBA and Christien Hernandez as guest speakers for our 2024 Leadership Summit panel - Building a Personal Brand: Strategies for Latinx Professionals. Ximena Bobadilla (they/them)?is a consultant at McKinsey who has transformed a lifelong passion for the arts into a career advising consumer tech and media executives on corporate strategy. Born in Mexico City and raised in Miami, FL, Ximena has a background in theater, architecture, photography, art history, and film development, all of which have shaped their unique storytelling approach that bridges creativity with strategy. After earning an MBA from USC Marshall School of Business, with a specialization in the business of entertainment from USC's School of Cinematic Arts, they transitioned from architectural project management and live comedy photography into management consulting at McKinsey. Ximena was a ROMBA Fellow, Forté Fellow, Consortium Fellow, and LAMBDA Fellow at USC. They were a core researcher and contributor to McKinsey's 2024 report on 'Asians and Pacific Islanders in Hollywood.' In 2022, they won the inaugural Rich Chicotel LGBTQ+ Leadership Award, and in 2021, they were selected by NALIP as an Emerging Content Creator. In their spare time, Ximena is a writer, producer, public speaker, theater-goer, camper, partner, and pet parent. Ximena is a proud alum of Wellesley College. Christien Hernandez is a dynamic Product Management executive within AT&T’s Consumer Technology Experience group. In his current role, Christien leads a multidisciplinary team of product managers, engineers, designers, and marketers, overseeing a diverse portfolio of digital initiatives. Specializing in the integration of AI, user experience, and analytics, Christien employs data-driven insights to develop customer-centric strategies that significantly enhance engagement, conversion rates, and overall customer satisfaction. Christien is also committed to community involvement, particularly through Hispanic outreach and LGBTQ+ support programs. Latinx MBA is honored to announce Lili Gangas and Jason Suarez as guest speakers for our 2024 Leadership Summit panel - Ethics of AI: Inclusive Innovation & Social Responsibility. Lili is the Chief Technology Community Officer at the Kapor Center, where she leads initiatives focused on increasing diversity and inclusion across the tech ecosystem, with an emphasis on closing the digital divide and advocating for equitable technology policy. She co-founded LTXConnect.org, a platform that amplifies Latinx voices in tech through programs, partnerships, and networking, and also created LTXMatch, a tool for scaling opportunities and connections. Previously, Lili worked at Accenture and Booz Allen, focusing on innovation and open data solutions, and has a background in aerospace engineering. She holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from USC. Lili has received numerous recognitions, including being named one of Latino Leader's 100 Most Influential Latinas and featured as a speaker at TEDxOakland and Salesforce Dreamforce. Jason currently serves as the Vice President of Data Services, Digital and CRM Engineering at Dine Brands Global. With a proven track record in the technology industry, Jason excels in building and deploying innovative products and solutions that enhance guest and team member satisfaction, drive business growth and optimize a company’s data strategy.
