Back from an incredible summit and a much-needed vacation! It was an unforgettable two days filled with empowering discussions and captivating stories from some of our leaders. I was fortunate to hear from Malaika Myers and Tyronne Stoudemire on our ongoing DE&I initiatives, and was truly moved by Susan Santiago’s inspiring career journey. I was also honored to lead a breakout session and speak with Eileen Rainey, Anderson Hernandez, MBA and Ernesto Fernandez. A special thanks to Christopher Auteberry for his insightful workshop. Eskamani, MPA, MNM for an #EarthDay Community Cleanup. The event in partnership with O-Town Compost and Keep Orlando Beautiful In generated 36 full bags of trash – one of the largest cleanups to date! ??? #hyattlatinos #worldofcare #volunteering
The U.S. Mint recently announced the exciting news that THE Celia Cruz is set to appear on the US quarter in 2024 and will be the first Afro Latina to appear on a coin. The 2024 Celia Cruz Quarter is the 14th coin in the American Women Quarters? Program, and will have her signature '?AZúCAR!'. Celia Cruz was a Cuban-American singer, cultural icon, and one of the most popular Latin artists of the 20th century. The quarter is set to be released later this year.
