Day 1 of the L'ATTITUDE conference in the books and I could not be prouder to represent Latino Professionals? Latina Professionals? and Latinx Professionals? as both as an advisor and ambassador. Latino GDP is the second-fastest growing among the world’s ten largest economies, outpacing countries like the United States, India, Canada, and France. U.S. Latino GDP is projected to rank as the world’s fourth largest by 2029, surpassing Japan by the end of 2024 and Germany by 2027. Despite comprising 19.5% of the U.S. population, the U.S. Latino cohort was responsible for 28.3% of total additions to national GDP between 2017 and 2022. This a huge opportunity for growth and success. Thank you Rafael Maga?a for your leadership and friendship.

We had a wonderful Board of Trustee dinner last night at Angelini Restaurant, a great way to welcome new Board of Trustees to Hollywood Schoolhouse, led by the incredible Ilise Faye, head of school and the great work of the board of trustees that include Michael Heid, Dominique M., L. Lloys Frates, Daniel Levin, Tina Curry, M.A., PHR, SHRM-CP, Joseantonio "GrizzlyMug" Danner, Mayra Garcia-Egan, Anna Gay, Wendy Goodman LaPolt, Sean M., Katie O'Connell Marsh, Scott McLarty, Cheryl Okumura, Sylvia Pérez Cash, Ilene Reinfeld, Gautam K. Sood, Laurel Baker Tew, and Stephanie Wilkinson. The Hollywood Schoolhouse continues to foster a nurturing, diverse learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically and develop a lifelong love for learning. Friendships like these are cultivated through meaningful moments. Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying a wonderful dinner with friends, in Cincinnati, Ohio. We also celebrated Miguel Alema?y’s recent appointment to the Latinas in Tech board! Thank you Miguel for having us! Great seeing Julio Grapa, Lenin Paulino, Juan D Valentin II, Benjamin Gonzalez Vazquez , and Josué. Additionally, we concluded an exceptional tour of The New Riff Distillery. This morning’s CCS 'Perspectives on Philanthropy' event featured an incredible lineup of leaders, including Dexter A. Bailey, Jr. (Caltech), Heather Vucetin (Cedars-Sinai), Maria Watson (Pomona College), and all expertly moderated by Aashika Patel (CCS Fundraising). The discussion provided valuable insights into the latest Giving USA data, highlighting both national trends and the regional impact on the Greater LA philanthropic landscape.
