Seeing our students accomplish their dreams of becoming police officers is always a rewarding experience. This year 1/3 of the Boston Police Academy class took part in LLEGO Boston programs. We are very proud of academy class 64-24. We are even more proud of seeing all the different demographics coming together to help and support each other with the goal of keeping our communities safer! Saturday night we celebrated our 7th annual gala, we had an incredible showing! Thank you to everyone that came out to support. We recognized one of our founding members Jose Ruiz for his life long commitment to creating change in our communities. He retired from Boston Police after 32+ years of service and still continues to give back. A special thank you to we Councilor Enrique J. Pepén and Councilor John FitzGerald who acknowledged some of our members who have been out in the community doing amazing work. These officers were presented citations from the Boston City council for their dedication to the residents of Boston and their tireless efforts to strengthen community-police relations. Let’s keep building bridges and making change together. #bethechange

We are saddened and disappointed by the loss of Enrique Delgado Garcia. Our condolences to his family and friends. Founded in 2017, the LLEGO Boston started as a way to bring Hispanic #police #officers together and has grown into a thriving group that aims to show there's a human behind the #badge. #OfficerMagazine

This month LLEGO Boston began its 6th Pre academy training program. Through this program and its dedicated staff, LLEGO Boston has contributed more than 200 police officers to various police agencies throughout the state to include women and people of color. I am excited for the weeks to come, and congratulate these men and women for showing the commitment and dedication to serve their communities. #Bethechange

Thank you to El Mundo Boston for recognizing our organization with their community award and inviting LLEGO Boston to be part of this years head table. We are looking forward to joining everyone at the the table and celebrating Latino Heritage Month!

We continue to be impacted by bad policing in our communities. As an organization we have both sworn and civilian members constantly working together to heal, grow, and learn from each other. MAWLE is looking forward to this year’s MAWLE & Me camp! We have an exciting and informative week of activities planned for the girls, including old favorites and some new ones. We are still taking volunteers so if you’re a woman in law enforcement & want to join us for one or more days, or even 1/2 day, please email us at [email protected] so we can connect you with our program leaders. There is also information on the flyers if you are interested in sponsoring a camper, which allows us to provide a week of programming at no cost to our attendees. Any amount is always appreciated.
