关于我们

Latino Education Alliance . Latino Education Alliance was a non-profit which partnered with schools, parents and students with targeted support to improve on-track rates to graduation and academic advancement for Latino students in Chicago in their crucial first year of high school; helping Latino students and families on the academic path to excellence. (LEA) worked through early academic intervention, parental engagement, individualized student support and strategic relationships thus empowering students to take leadership over their lives. It operated from 2001 to 2011 in 3 predominately Latino enrolled high schools.Studies showed that if freshmen stay on track with their coursework, they are nearly 4 times more likely to graduate. Only 53% of Chicago’s Latino students who enter high school graduate four years later. LEA closed its operations on June 30, 2011 having had its program institutionalized into its original host school, Benito Juarez Community Academy.
