Welcome to the Latinas in Tech chapter in North Carolina! Our mission is to support and empower Latinas in the tech industry, and to promote diversity and inclusion within the tech sector. But let’s be real, we also just really love talking about technology and nerding out together. So if you’re into that kind of thing, you’re in the right place! We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to succeed in the tech industry, regardless of their background or identity. As Latinas, we face unique challenges and barriers to entry in the tech industry, but we’re not ones to back down from a challenge. In fact, we’re pretty sure we can fix any computer issue just by staring at it intensely and speaking to it in Spanish. It’s a skill. Whether you are just starting out in tech, or you are a seasoned professional, we welcome you to join us and become a part of our community. We offer networking events, mentorship opportunities, and educational workshops to help you succeed in your tech career. Plus, we have a pretty good time together too. We are excited to connect with you and support you on your journey in tech!

In celebration of National Wellness Month, we came together to dance, connect, and uplift our community at a Latine-owned fitness studio, AB Fitness in Durham, surrounded by Latine instructors???????? Major recognition to the amazing Latina-owned food vendor, Postres Guachitas, for fueling us with delicious and nutritious options that kept us going strong! ????? This event was more than just a workout; it was a celebration of our culture, our health, and our community. Latinas in Tech North Carolina Leaders had the privilege of attending the Black Wall Street Social hosted by Blacks In Technology - RDU at Zweli's INC in Durham. It was an inspiring evening full of impactful conversations as we heard from Mayor Leonardo Williams and leaders from organizations like Techsgiving, Provident1898, and Hayti App. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to support and stand in solidarity with organizations that uplift and empower diverse voices in tech.
