Last night, the Latino Community Foundation of Colorado celebrated its impact and honored 3 individuals for their philanthropic contributions. Congrats to Lisa Zuniga Ramirez, CFA, FSA, fellow Trustee of The Denver Foundation and LatinasGiveDenver! member, who was the philanthropist of the year, a deserving honor. The evening was filled with corazón and community. It was also great to have Denver Public Library staff at the event. #wearephilanthropists

The grant application for LatinasGiveDenver! funding cycle is now open through August 15. Over the past 10 years, Denver’s first Latina giving circle has awarded close to $200,000 to support Latino/a communities across the state. LatinasGive! is changing the traditional perception of philanthropy one investment at a time. “Understanding philanthropy and thinking of it as something that exists beyond big foundations is truly empowering,” said Tish Gonzales, LatinasGive! member.
