Had an inspiring time at a Fireside Chat with Melissa Medina, CEO of eMerge Americas, who shared invaluable insights on Miami’s thriving tech ecosystem. She emphasized the importance of planning ahead and building trust over time. One memorable reminder from her father: “Keep your word.” It is a powerful reminder that, in both business and life, integrity is everything. Another great takeaway was the encouragement to reach out for new opportunities. Growing up, my mom always reminded me that the worst response you might get is a simple “no,” so it was reassuring to hear the same advice echoed. It was also refreshing to hear Melissa speak candidly about the myth of “balance” as a leader and mother of five.
