Latinas in Healthcare includes members from all aspects of the healthcare industry. From clinical to administration to research, together we are empowering Latinas to advance in their field. We follow research-based discussion guides curated by Lean In that cover skill-building strategies, actionable steps to navigate bias, and practical tools for women to advocate for themselves and one another. Our mission is to empower Latinas in healthcare to close the wage gap and excel in their careers by promoting knowledge-sharing, skill development, mentorship, and leadership growth, addressing the unique challenges and opportunities within the healthcare field. Latinas In Healthcare is a Lean In Circle and part of the Lean In Latinas network. @Lean In Circles combine a leadership curriculum designed specifically for women with the power of peers coming together to learn new skills and support each other. Part leadership workshop, part support network–that’s a Lean In Circle. @Lean In Latinas network is an international 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to advance Latinas to achieve gender equity. Lean In Latinas provides a platform of encouragement and support for Latinas in the workplace to achieve higher levels of performance.

Jocelynn Rojo Carranza took her life after experiencing months of relentless bullying from her sixth grade classmates over her family's heritage. In all schools, educators must embrace the richness of our cultural heritage. Let’s please pray for this to stop! Joseline was being bullied and mocked by students who told the young girl she would be left alone when her parents got deported. Our nervous systems aren't meant to handle all this overwhelm. I'm posting this as a self-care reminder for everyone who stands for #DEIB, those who are afraid of losing their jobs, all who worry about the next attack, and everyone struggling to find focus. My colleagues in the consulting world are feeling it, my clients in organizations are feeling it, my neighbors, family, and friends are feeling it. The legal counsel in organizations are feeling it. I'm feeling it. Remember to breathe, take breaks, and be good to your earthly vessel. This is a marathon, not a sprint.
