Congratulations to Latimer Fellow John Pasmore on his recent engagements and collaborations with Latimer. https://lnkd.in/e3jTFh3s
Burst of activity for the year-end with Latimer and our work to build more inclusive AI. WASHINGTON, DC has always been important for us as we’ve been lucky enough to work with Julian Duggin, Barbara Rhoden, PhD and the team at CINQCARE, an innovative and important healthcare company ("CINQCARE's mission is to remove barriers to health by everyday delivering care and well-being to those?who need it most - with a deep commitment to Black and Brown communities"). A couple of year-end presentations in the nation’s capital followed by a fortuitous airport collision with the CEO of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Dr. Michael Lomax. With Latimer’s focus on education, we have a lot to talk to the UNCF about in 2025. And it was great to circle up with Stephen Stern, Joe Paul, Pavani Reddy, Kulani Jalata, and, of course, Shelton Mercer III. ? BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA: Another important City in Latimer’s evolution, Birmingham, Alabama, was next up, which our very first education client calls home, Miles College. I got to circle up with Miles's president, Bobbie Knight, and wrap up our entrepreneurship program with 2150 Center for Innovation, Commercialization & Growth and Erskine "Chuck" Faush. And, of course, got to catch up with the Miles team, including Provost Dr. Tonya Perry, SVP of Strategic Initiatives, Dr. Jarralynne Agee, JamesAaron LaGrand Pierre Jr., Dr. Wendy M. Stewart and Mya J.. The 2150 program is tremendous on lots of levels, and while we’re looking to do even more in Alabama, I had the chance to meet Cynthia Crutchfield, CEO of Innovate Alabama. Great to circle up with Jahman Hill, Andrew Farrior, Jaeden Henderson, Chaim Nazeer and Hunter J. Haselrig. BIAS ANALYZER is a Chrome Extension from Latimer coming soon (Alpha version pictured below). Thanks to the outstanding tech team at Latimer (Malur Narayan, Elton Sampaio, Vijay Raghavan Ph.D., M.B.A., and Sayan Maity, PhD) we have a couple of new products for Latimer, extending our functionality, including a Bias Analyzer Chrome extension in the Chrome store next week, and a data platform that will solve some problems across the AI landscape. Thanks also to our top-tier advisors Ayanna Howard, Dean of Engineering at Ohio State University, and Leslie Miley, whose insight and experience are critical to our efforts. While I'm leaking announcements couple coming with Black Girls Code and Morehouse College! Thanks always to The Lewis Latimer Fellowship. Looking forward to 2025! Have a great Holiday.
