I had the privilege of volunteering with Lasagna Love for the first time, making my first lasagna for a local family in need. I chose this organization because I truly believe a warm, homemade meal can brighten someone’s day. ?? ?? BIG NEWS, AUSTRALIA! ?? 1,000 lasagnas. 3,800 neighbours fed. 550 incredible volunteers. And one absolutely unstoppable movement of kindness. ?? On September 21, 2021, in a little kitchen in Tasmania, the very first Lasagna Love delivery in Australia happened. Just one home cook, making one meal, for one neighbour in a new place. And now? We’ve hit 1,000 deliveries and counting! From bustling cities to quiet country towns, from families in need to our unhoused neighbours, Lasagna Love has officially spread to every state and territory—and we are just getting started. ?? Special shoutout to Queensland for leading the charge! And an even bigger round of applause for Michelle Pavey, our powerhouse of a Country & Regional Director. Michelle just celebrated her one-year anniversary leading Lasagna Love Australia, and in that time, she’s helped grow our reach by a mind-blowing 97% in 2024! She’s poured her heart into building this from the ground up, and thanks to her and our amazing volunteers, Australia has become a force for good, one meal at a time. Today was a good day. I typically don't talk about how I give back personally - but just so proud to be part of the Lasagna Love network. I dropped off my first lasagna (and a few other tasty things) to someone locally who comes from the foster care system and is food insecure. If you have a love of cooking, Lasagna Love made it so seamless to get involved and give back.

?????? Lasagna Chefs wanted in your neighborhood! ?????? Lasagna Love is an organization that matches volunteers with someone in their neighborhood who's in need of a home cooked meal. Their mission is to feed families, spread kindness, and strengthen communities one lasagna at a time. I started volunteering with Lasagna Love in November. Since then, I have made and delivered 7 lasagnas to families in the Pittsburgh area, feeding a total of 28 people (with many more to come this year!). Just joined Lasagna Love's volunteer ranks since I love to cook, and it feels good to do some good for the community. Got matched with my first requester, and I can't wait to cook a meal for her family! AND!
