[12:30 PM UPDATE] University of Louisiana at Lafayette, McNeese State University, Northwestern State University, and South Louisiana Community College (Lafayette campus) returned to normal operations Thursday. Louisiana State University, Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University, and Southeastern Louisiana University will reopen Friday. In 2023, Regents worked with 600+ faculty across Louisiana to create 24 universal transfer pathways to streamline the transfer process for students. We have been honored to work with the Louisiana Board of Regents in their #DevelopmentalEducation reform efforts. Since the 2020-21 academic year, the pass rate for first-year students in developmental education math courses rose from 11% to 52% in the 2023-24 academic year through adoption of the corequisite model, according to the analysis of preliminary academic data shared. We look forward to continuing progress with the state of #Louisiana as they expand math corequisite courses and scale corequisite English courses.
