Experience the coming together of local talent in the art exhibit Amalgamate. ? Join us for the opening reception on Friday, March 28, from 5:30–8 p.m. at the Martha Fenstermaker Memorial Visual Arts Gallery. The exhibit will be on view until May 9. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

The finish line is in sight! ?? Our Palominos began their graduation preparations during today's Graduation & Transfer Fair. There, they registered, picked up their regalia and connected with visiting university staff to discuss their next steps. We’re excited to see you walking across that stage later this year!

Our Camilo Prada Child Development Center students gathered with their families for a morning of fun activities while raising funds for the 15th Annual St. Jude Trike-A-Thon. LC is proud to see our Palo-Minis and their families continue supporting such a worthy cause.

Heads up, Palominos! ?? Mark your calendars for The Big Event on Saturday, March 22 starting at 8 a.m. You will be making a difference by helping beautify our community through service acts, including litter cleanup, painting, yard maintenance and more. Participants will receive 50 service hours! They will be assisting at Haynes Recreation Center, Slaughter Park and Arturo Benavides Park. We were honored to host the Laredo Police Department's “Empowering Women to Thrive” Law Enforcement Symposium, featuring keynote speaker Captain Michelle Tavarez from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, in observance of #InternationalWomensDay. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible women in law enforcement who make a difference every day through their invaluable contributions. A special shoutout to the amazing women within our LC family: Sgt. Veronica Garcia, Protective Services Department Chair Briana Ponce and Telecommunications Operator Tracy Riojas.

We’re always proud of our Palominos making a difference in our community! A group of our Bachelor of Applied Science in Organizational Leadership (BASORGL) students have been working with Habitat for Humanity as part of their experiential learning project and attended our recent LC Fun Fest to invite and educate the community about the organization and its ReStore, which supplies our community with low-cost home improvement materials. They have been helping the with social media by creating content, tracking metrics and increasing engagement.
