Through community support the Sheriff's Office receives for its annual Share-A-Bear drive, these soft, cuddly toys bring joy and comfort to our youngest patients in the NICU and Pediatric Unit. In a beautiful act of kindness, Laredo Medical Center NICU nurse Krystal has shared a piece of her heart by donating her wedding dress to the little angels in the NICU. With the help of Allie's Bird Project, a non-profit group dedicated to NICU babies, her selfless gift was transformed into a beautiful baptism gown for a precious baby. Krystal’s wedding dress will always hold special memories for her, but now, in honor of pregnancy and infant loss awareness, she hopes it can bring comfort and a sense of peace to families during their darkest times. What an incredible reminder that even in moments of grief, love and light can shine through. ??

Today, we were joined by the Laredo Association of REALTORS? to announce plans for our second annual LAR Run George Run 5K Run, 1-Mile Walk and LMC Wellness Fair, scheduled for Saturday, February 1 at the Laredo Medical Center campus. The run starts at 8 a.m. and the LMC Wellness Fair is from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Check out the video to learn how you can be a part of this exciting community event.
