Thanks for volunteering your time with our YLL kids, Jorge!
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to be a part of an?inspiring and engaging mock trial event held by the Youth Leadership of Laredo at the George P. Kazen Federal Courthouse here in Laredo, Texas. As an intern for the Honorable Magistrate Judge Diana Song Quiroga, I had the privilege of supporting both attorney coaches and student participants. From helping to develop trial handbooks and juror guides to coordinating with teams and ensuring a smooth trial process, it was an incredibly rewarding experience to see everything come together. Witnessing the students confidently present opening statements, cross-examine witnesses, and deliberate as jurors was a testament to the?power of experiential learning. Their preparation, adaptability, and courtroom presence were truly impressive, and I’m grateful to have contributed to their journey. A huge thank you to the attorneys, organizers, and participants who made this event possible, with a special thank you to Adrian Zapata and Judge Song Quiroga for spearheading this event! Looking forward to staying involved in future advocacy and legal education initiatives. #MockTrial #LegalEducation #ExperientialLearning #Advocacy #FutureLitigators
