Lane Council of Governments (LCOG) is a voluntary association of local governments in Lane County, Oregon. The agency is a regional planning, coordination, program-development, and service-delivery organization. LCOG helps area cities, Lane County, educational districts, and special-purpose districts reach their common goals. Since LCOG's creation in 1945, the agency has participated in a wide variety of projects and programs for local governments. Today, LCOG serves 34 members including Lane County, all of the 12 cities within the county, and education, public utilities, and other special districts.

Through Meals on Wheels and our congregate dining locations, our program seeks to ensure that older individuals receive the nutrition they need to thrive. They operate nine Café 60 Dining Rooms throughout Lane County and provide nutritious meals, friendly visits, regular safety and wellness checks, and access to a myriad of other community-based services to seniors in their home through the Meals on Wheels program. LCOG Senior & Disability Services has partnered with Lane County Health & Human Services again this year for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) at our rural offices in Cottage Grove, Junction City, Florence, Oakridge, and Veneta. People that were approved for LIHEAP at one of our offices last program year should have already received an application in the mail to apply and should return completed applications to the office listed on the return envelope as soon as possible. This program is first come first served and is a one-time credit (per program year) for your utility account. The LIHEAP wait lists can be found here: https://lnkd.in/ge-CBmwb

We're gathering interest from Oregon candidates who wish to be considered for contract/project-based work within the Local Government Personnel Services (LGPS) program. Contract/project-based work is occasionally needed when new projects arise. Depending on the nature and scope of the project, contract work may be in-person and/or virtual. LGPS has opportunities to include human resources, labor law, investigations, and classification/compensation studies.
