In the latest show, Sue talks about: ? Navigating Uncertainty in Hiring: Despite positive economic indicators, many companies are still behaving as if the market is in a downturn. This has led to a lean hiring climate, particularly for Marketing teams. While corporate profits are at record highs, hiring managers are hesitant to commit to new full-time positions. Instead, there’s a noticeable increase in demand for interim contractors to fill gaps and execute critical projects. ? The Importance of Candidate Experience: We discussed the often-overlooked aspect of candidate experience in the hiring process. Sue emphasized that a poor candidate experience can have long-term repercussions on a company’s brand. Candidates who feel undervalued or ignored may not only choose competitors for their job search, but could also become future consumers of those brands. ? Flexibility is Key for Job Seekers: As the job market evolves, job seekers may need to adjust their expectations regarding remote work.
