  • We are looking forward to the revitalization of the historic Otter Creek Clubhouse with TenBerke as we launch the Progressive Preservation Planning Grant. TenBerke’s work began late last year and will finish this spring. Our organization has already secured $90,000 toward the $180,000 required to fund TenBerke’s evaluation of this project. TenBerke's work aims to evaluate the building’s current functionality and explore opportunities for enhancements that align with the evolving needs of the golf course and its patrons. Designed in 1964 by modernist architect Harry Weese, the Otter Creek Clubhouse features expansive glass walls, warm wood interiors and distinctive shed roofs, and complements the Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed golf course. • The 2025 Yes And Design Presentations kicked off with the first ever Exhibit Columbus Variety Show in partnership with Black History Month Columbus! Last Friday, February 21, at The Commons, over 200 attendees enjoyed two acts full of singing, dancing, and laughing. Act I began with a beautiful singing performance by Shanon Louyindolo, accompanied by Allie Jean Burbrink (Allie Jean) followed by: A poetry reading by Indianapolis poet januarie York; A singing and clogging performance by Columbus-native Allie Jean Burbrink (Allie Jean); A comedy set by Indianapolis comedian Daryl Hollonquest Jr;? A sword-wielding belly dance performance by Liah Mazz and her students Itzel Ortiz, Monica Stuck, and Amy Kriz; A comedy set by Josh Hogan; and? A jazz performance by Indianapolis jazz group, Premium Blend. Act II was headlined by legendary New York City turntable duo, Da Odd Couple, comprised of Mista SINISTA and DJ Rob Swift. Da Odd Couple scratched the night away to end a fantastic event! Throughout the event, magician Adam Schill showed off his skills between acts; hosts Jerone Wood and John Smith entertained the audience with their charm; and DJ MetroGnome kept the tunes coming. Thank you to all who were involved in producing such a thoughtful and exciting event, including Whittney Wood-Gaines, all of the performers, and our wonderful vendors!
