With plenty of ski season still ahead, now's the perfect time to plan a trip to Porcupine Mountain! We've been working diligently with the DNR to maintain and enhance the east chairlift, and we're excited to be going out to bid this month. This season has been one for the record books, and we can't wait to see what the future holds for one of the Midwest's premier ski destinations. In the meantime, enjoy these stunning autumn snapshots captured by our very own Dan Fredricks!

We're excited to share a recent project for Grand Haven Township’s Grand Oak Subdivision No. 3 Drain. Working alongside the Ottawa County Water Resources Commissioner, Ottawa County Road Commission and Grand Haven Township, we designed a stormwater overflow route using detailed hydraulic modeling, made improvements to the storm sewer system, adjusted two vertical watermain offsets and reconstructed 700 feet of local roadways. Our team also provided daily inspections, construction staking, materials testing coordination, and handled everything from contractor inquiries to payment applications and as-built record drawings. Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success!?

As we reflect on this year’s highlights, we’re thrilled to showcase the successful completion of the single-lane roundabout at the Blue Star Highway and Old Allegan Road intersection. In collaboration with the Allegan County Road Commission, we implemented a range of enhancements, including vertical profile adjustments for all roundabout approaches, concrete splitter and central islands, curb and gutter installations, storm sewer upgrades, pedestrian pathways and ADA-compliant crossings. The project also included 800 linear feet of water main replacement, along with permanent pavement markings and signage. This milestone represents a significant improvement for the Saugatuck and Douglas communities, enhancing safety and accessibility for everyone in the area.

We're so thrilled to be involved with this exciting project and on such a great team!
Last Thursday we had the opportunity to join the City of Kentwood and our project partners to celebrate breaking ground on the city's new Community Center. We have been collaborating and designing this transformative project for over a year and are excited to see our vision start to come alive on site this month when Triangle Associates mobilizes to start construction. It was particularly special for our team as the keynote speakers are also clients. Tim Gortsema (Grand Rapids Griffins and Grand Rapids Rise) and Head Coach Cathy George (Grand Rapids Rise) spoke eloquently about how these kinds of buildings foster community and provide opportunities for young athletes to participate, learn and grow. https://lnkd.in/gVZqDSgQ Perkins&Will Land & Resource Engineering (LRE) M C Smith Peter Basso Associates sdi structures JRA FOOD SERVICE CONSULTANTS Disability Advocates of Kent County Buist AV Soils & Structures Secure Alarm

The Gun Lake Tribe secured a non-point source pollution grant to mitigate bank erosion and reduce nutrient runoff into the Pierce Extension Drain along a 1,400-linear foot section in Allegan County. We conducted a comprehensive topographic and geomorphic survey, alongside hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, to develop a design that restores the entrenched drain's natural hydrology. The restoration plan included: ? A rock and roll grade control structure to stabilize the channel and prevent further head cutting ? Log revetments for bank protection ? Wetland detention area constriction ? Floodplain bench (two-stage channel) to support natural flow As a result of this project, the stream is now stabilized, with a reconnected floodplain and a vegetated riparian buffer that filters stormwater runoff — enhancing water quality by trapping pollutants and sediments before they reach the watercourse.
