GIS, or Geographic Information Systems, is a powerful tool that creates, manages, analyzes, and maps all types of data. ?? Connecting data to maps helps us understand spatial patterns and relationships and improves decision-making processes by providing valuable insights. ?? The GIS team collaborates with many county agencies—from the County Assessor to the Sheriff’s Office, Engineering, Weed Control Authority, and the Election Commission—to create customized dashboards that capture, manage, and track essential information, from land records and tax parcels to right-of-ways, culverts, and bridges! Read the proclamation: https://loom.ly/RqGP3Lk - Approval of agreement with Felsburg Holt & Ullvig to complete a housing and urban development environmental assessment that is required for the Economic Development Initiative Community Project. This project aims to expedite improvements to a 4.5-mile segment of Fletcher Avenue, northeast of Lincoln, Nebraska, between N. 84th and N. 148th Streets, connecting to Hwy 6. The upgrades will enhance transportation resilience, reduce sensitivity to construction disruptions, and support growth for Lincoln and Waverly. Paving this corridor will foster business development, improve farm-to-market routes, and ease commutes for local residents. - Approval of agreement with Wellbeing Initiative Inc. for the provision of a Recovery Community Navigator who will provide one-on-one peer support and host recovery group sessions with inmates at the Lancaster County Jail.
