?? Advocacy Day at the Capitol! ?? On March 5th, the Developmental Disabilities Council joined forces with the Family Health Services Division for an impactful day at the Capitol. Mahina and Bryant from Lanakila Employment Services proudly represented Lanakila Pacific at the mock hearing, sharing our mission to support people with disabilities. ?? On February 26th, Employment Services hosted a Hō’ike event for the Ho’okele Loea program at Camp Palehua. Participants Lucky and Tyzh showcased their skills and highlighted their learning journey. This program extends Lanakila Pacific’s reach beyond individuals with disabilities, offering opportunities to at-risk youth (ages 14-24) who are neither in school nor working. What started as a company day of service turned into an ongoing commitment to making a difference in the community. Hawaiian Telecom employees help to feed Hawaii’s kupuna by volunteering to pack meals regularly, every two months. Mahalo to the Hawaiian Telecom employees for all that they do for Oahu’s kupuna. Help Deliver Meals and Spread Aloha! ?? We are looking for volunteer drivers to help with meal deliveries on Wednesday mornings! We currently have routes open on the West side (meals to be picked up in Nanakuli) and on the Windward side (meals to be picked up in Kailua). We also need a few new volunteers in town/central locations. If you're available on other days, help is also needed in Ewa on Tuesdays and Kapolei on Thursdays. More routes and days might be available. Interested?
