Meet the management team! Finally, we have our Employee Engagement and Development Manager - Mandy Hallock. "As an Employee Engagement and Development Manager, I focus on fostering a positive and productive workplace culture through?talent acquisition, employee relations, and strategic HR planning, while ensuring alignment with company goals". How long have you been at LW?: Almost 4 years What’s your favorite part of your job?: Building connections with employees and helping them thrive. I enjoy being a resource for others, solving problems, and creating an environment where people feel valued, supported, and motivated to do their best work. If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?: I would want the ability to read minds. Being able to instantly understand what employees need, what motivates them, or the root of workplace challenges would make me even more efficient in my role. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?: "Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love." - Mother Teresa What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: I love interior design and enjoy decorating and organizing spaces. If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: I would want to switch roles with a Plant Floor Supervisor to gain firsthand insight into team leadership on the plant floor. It would help me see more into the day-to-day production, challenges, and dynamics between employees and management. Meet the management team! We're down to our last two management team members this week. Today we have Snez Goodale, our Vice President who spends her day executing the mission at LW to deliver quality parts on-time. How long have you been at LW?:?5 years ? What’s your favorite part of your job?: Creating solutions for manufacturers. Every day presents new opportunities to develop and improve processes. Bringing stakeholders together and delivering sustainable results for manufacturers, so they can succeed with their customers, is very rewarding. ? If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?:? Omnificence. Create?anything on an infinite scale. Great asset for manufacturing optimizing resources with zero loss off time?or materials. ? What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?: Good intentions matter, but your actions will define you. ? What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: Apiary Assistant Manager. A technical way to say “beekeeper”. I’ve always enjoyed bottled “local” honey, but honey harvested from a backyard hive is another level of deliciousness. My husband and I started the hobby together and have learned to appreciate science and nature so much more than we ever did before. If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: One role that only a few of us at Laminate Works have the benefit of experiencing hands-on is the actual transportation process. I would like to join our drivers for a day and participate with?the deliveries, transporting orders to the finish line on customers’ docks. We couldn't deliver on our promises without Snez's thoughtful dedication to LW! ?

Meet the management team! Today we are introducing Shawn Foster, our Supply Chain Manager. "I'm responsible for partner relationships and all incoming raw materials." How long have you been at LW?: 17 years What’s your favorite part of your job?: Being part of a team where we all have the same mission. If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?: Teleportation—I could be anywhere that I am needed instantly. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?: Ben Franklin - “You can do anything you set your mind to”.? He didn't tell me personally, it just gives me confidence when I'm needing a boost. What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: I'm a pretty good baker and enjoy making desserts from scratch. If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: Our drivers.?They get to deliver promises every day and I would be thanking our customers for trusting us to deliver. If your team had a theme song, what would it be?: “Lose Yourself” by Eminem We couldn't deliver our promises without Shawn making sure we are getting the right materials!

Meet the management team! Next up is Erik Lund, our National Sales Manager. "I'm responsible for leading sales team and driving revenue growth while exceeding customer expectations." How long have you been at LW?: a year What’s your favorite part of your job?: Solving problems for prospects so they become customers. If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?: Mind reading What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?: "Control what you can control" What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: Juggling If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: Plant Supervisor – I would enjoy being around our expert craftsmen/women on a daily basis watching them create quality parts for our customers and be part of that team. If your team had a theme song, what would it be?: "Jump" by Van Halen – Because we “Jump” sales and “Jump” at the opportunity to exceed customer expectations and “Jump” at the opportunity to solve problems for prospects. We are glad to have Erik leading our sales team!

Meet the Management Team! Today we have Steven Archibald - our Controller who spends his days managing the financial operations of the manufacturing plant. How long have you been at LW?:?2 years 8 months What’s your favorite part of your job?:?Interacting with my coworkers and helping the team. If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?:?The ability to manipulate time. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?:?Do not sweat the small stuff. What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?:?I am an expert marksman, able to shoot a bullseye from over 500 yards away without a scope. If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?:?Josh, our truck driver, because the idea of driving a big rig sounds cool (at least for a day). If your team had a theme song, what would it be?:?“Don’t Stop the Music” by Rihanna We are glad to have Steve managing the finances at LW!

Meet the Management Team! Next is Chris Rossberg - our Manufacturing Manager. Chris oversees the day-to-day production and manufacturing at Laminate Works. How long have you been at LW?: 2.5 years What’s your favorite part of your job?: The people and the relationships I’ve made with past and present employees. If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?: Teleportation. I often need to be in two places at once, so being able to instantly get there would be helpful! What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (personal or professional)?: If you don’t have time to do it right, you must have time to do it over. What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: I enjoy photography and long-range precision shooting. If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: I would probably switch with a new hire to get an opportunity to see things from a fresh perspective and use that to help ensure we are aligned in the culture we are building and that new people feel welcome, appreciated and heard. If your team had a theme song, what would it be?: "Don’t Stop Believin'" – Journey We can count on Chris to make sure production is running smoothly every day!

Meet the management team! First up, we have our Operations Manager - Cody Randall. ? "I oversee daily operations, which entails assisting customers in identifying solutions to their challenges while ensuring that we consistently fulfill our commitments and deliver on our promises to them". ? How long have you been at LW?: 5 years ? What’s your favorite part of your job?: Teaching the skills and knowledge I have gained over my career to my team and helping customers in the millwork industry since I have been in their shoes. ? If you could have any superpower to make your job easier, what would it be?:? ? Proper answer - Telekinesis so I can move things with my mind. Funny answer – Teleportation so I can teleport materials for our customers. ? What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?: A simple phrase “Water off a ducks back” from the greatest carpenter I’ve ever worked with. Simply put I can only control what I can control. ? What’s one talent or hobby you have that most people don’t know about?: Fixing engines/ small gadgets my wife and I buy at auctions. I love taking something that doesn’t work and breathe new life into it.? ? If you could switch roles with anyone at LW for a day, who would it be and what would you do?: Shipping Coordinator. The job itself is so variable and can change at any given moment. I find it challenging and rewarding watching our product leave to dock to our customers. ?
