With over a decade of architectural expertise across various sectors and sizes, Chris brings a unique perspective shaped by his experiences in some of the world’s most iconic cities, including Tokyo, Paris, Chicago, and New York. His journey has enriched his passion for design that resonates with individuals and communities, always driven by his belief in architecture's power to create impactful spaces. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Chris grew up as the oldest of five siblings—never a dull moment, we can imagine! A Wake Forest alum, he played soccer and started in computer animation before shifting his love for storytelling to blueprints. Now back in Winston-Salem, Chris is excited to keep telling stories through architecture, fostering connections, and giving back to the community. When he’s not at work, he enjoys being active and spending time outdoors, drawing, and caring for his super-sweet golden doodle and a lively flock of ducks. This 19,600 SF cutting-edge facility will feature a control room with a large video wall, control console desks, and key support offices all designed to enhance collaboration and streamline incident management. Located at the intersection of I-40 and I-840, this joint one-story headquarters will allow TMC and State Highway Patrol staff to work together in real-time, overseeing traffic conditions and responding to roadway incidents with speed and efficiency. The facility will also include a shared multipurpose meeting space for up to 100 people, along with breakroom and restroom facilities, all equipped with emergency backup generators. From bold beginnings to timeless finishes, the evolution of Wake Forest University's Room has been a remarkable journey of creativity and renewal. First reimagined in 2008, the space flourished for nearly two decades, and this year, it underwent its latest transformation—seamlessly merging style, function, and modern technology to meet the evolving needs of the WFU community. Known as the “Living Room on Campus,” this dynamic space is where the WFU community gathers, collaborates, and feels at home. We integrated tech-enabled furniture designed for individual and collaborative studies, ensuring flexibility for students and staff alike. The seating is thoughtfully arranged to encourage group interaction while also allowing for easy reconfiguration of events. Finishes and fabrics were carefully chosen to assist with wayfinding and reflect the original character of the ‘Green Room’ within Reynolda Hall. The room’s perimeter infuses color and vibrancy into the space with pieces from WFU's University Art Collections. In the Reynolda Hall lobby, stylish, cohesive furniture facing Wait Chapel greets those entering, creating a welcoming spot for students, staff, and visitors to relax and enjoy one of the most iconic views on campus. We would like to welcome Ron Schultz, our newest (and yet most veteran) member, back to the LAMBERT A+I team! A proud native of Minnesota but calling the Triad home since his twenties, Ron brings a wealth of experience and dedication to our firm. Ron's journey with LAMBERT began in 1992 when he planted his professional roots and grew alongside the firm until 2014. Seeking new adventures, he embarked on different pursuits, but as he says, “discovered the grass wasn't greener—it was, in fact, crabgrass.” After nearly a decade of traversing various paths, Ron couldn't be happier to reunite with LAMBERT A+I. In a bid to solidify his allegiance as a North Carolinian, Ron effortlessly balances his football fealty between his cherished Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers. According to him, this juggling act pales in comparison to his emotional rollercoaster and heartache of being a die-hard Vikings fan. And while Ron’s driver's license may bear the name Ronald, he reserves this title solely for times of mischief.
