Max Farrell reflects on two years as President of LAI's London chapter ??
Founder & CEO, LDN Collective | Chair of Built Environment, West London Business | Past President, LAI Land Economics Society (London) | Fellow RSA | Lead Judge, Healthy City Awards | Podcast Host, Collectively Speaking
?? Tomorrow is the last day of my two year term as President of the Lambda Alpha International (LAI) London chapter, so it seemed like a good time to look back on everything that's happened. It's been an incredible journey, with an exceptional programme of events and more than double the number of members, with many more joining in the New Year ?? Given the social and environmental crises we are facing in 2025, land economics has a massive role to play. Making sure the land we have delivers the maximum social, environmental and economic benefits. Best of luck to incoming President Frances Heeney, the Exec Group and fabulous members who have made the last two years so joyful and enriching. Who knew land economics could be so much fun?! ??

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, in collaboration with the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design and Design Connects, is thrilled to co-organize the U.S. Pavilion at the 19th International Architecture Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia under the theme “PORCH: An Architecture of Generosity.†The exhibition celebrates the porch as a quintessential American architectural space, a place that fosters connection, resilience, and a sense of community. We invite architects, designers, artists, nonprofits, public agencies, and individuals across the U.S. and its territories to submit built projects that reflect this iconic typology. The pavilion will feature at least 50 participants, showcasing projects that span scales, geographies, and histories. Submissions are open now through January 17, 2025, at 12:00 PM EST. Exhibit selections will be announced on February 3, 2025, with the U.S. Pavilion debuting on May 10, 2025. Learn more here: https://bit.ly/41gxnVq
