LAMB CENTER FOR ARTS AND HEALING

The Ribbon Cutting at 230 E Broadway was a magical event many years in the making. We truly cannot extend enough thanks to those who made this milestone a reality. From our students who have been dreaming along side us all these years, to our board and staff who show up for our community every day, to the elected officials who tirelessly advocate for our work and for a creative home in Hopewell, to the funders whose dollars continue to turn those dreams into a reality - we made it! It takes a village to build a space like this - and we are grateful for ours. A special thank you to the Virginia Brownsfields Fund, the Cameron Foundation, and the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for their support of this project.

Just a few more weeks until our 5th Annual Lamb Arts Fest! And to make things even more special this year, we'll be OPENING OUR NEW BUILDING to kick off the festivities! At 12:30pm on Saturday, November 2 we'll cut the ribbon to our new space in the heart of Downtown Hopewell and then celebrate with the whole community at the Lamb Arts Fest from 1:00-4:00pm. ?? Have you seen this awesome public art project from Lamb Arts?? The Button Project is a unique way for the local community to collect art! With revamped gumball machines across the area you can purchase the work of local artists for just 50 cents. And now we are excited to welcome 7 new local artists to the Button Project! If you've been collecting that means we now have 27 awesome buttons. Lamb Arts is proud and excited to announce that our Founder and Executive Director, Dr. Eliza Lamb, was just announced as a Richmond BizSense RVA Power Women finalist in the Arts and Culture category. This award celebrates Richmond's most notable women and Dr. Lamb is most certainly deserving of that recognition! Winners will be announced during a special ceremony May 9, but we're already #HopewellProud!
