LJC is proud to serve as Executive Architect for the Nevada Museum of Art expansion, continuing their collaborative relationship with renowned architect Will Bruder FAIA. This transformative project unfolds in two strategic phases, ensuring uninterrupted museum programming through construction. Phase one, completed in spring 2023, delivered modernized systems and expanded administrative spaces. The ongoing second phase extends the museum's footprint southward with a new California Street entrance. Crafted in response to the local ecology of the high desert the design celebrates the environment through terra cotta tile, weathered steel, and glazed apertures that complement the original 2003 building. Last week I had the pleasure of touring Clayco's Shorehaven project along Tempe Town Lake. To date, 10 million pounds of rebar, 57,000 cubic yards of concrete and 400+ miles of post tension cable have been used to construct what will be 722 upscale residential units with gorgeous lake views in Tempe. Huge thanks to Lindsay Bruckal (Johnson), MBA, Scott Thomas, Terry Rutherford and the entire project team for hosting Clayco NOW (Network of Women). I love an opportunity to connect with my colleagues across all aspects of the Clayco Enterprise with a goal of building camaraderie, learning from one another and experiencing how #BeyondTheseWalls extends to everything we touch. #teambuilding #networkofwomen #womeninconstruction Lamar Johnson Collaborative

A booming area for #manufacturing, the Lehigh Valley also is the site of one of Taylor Johnson client CRG’s newest projects: The Cubes at Alpha, a Class A #industrialpark in Alpha, N.J., that broke ground this month. Developed in a joint venture with PCCP management, the park will include two #warehouses that will help address growing demand for Class A #industrial space along the I-78 corridor. Serving as a lower-cost alternative while still offering proximity to the ports of #NewYork and #NewJersey, The Cubes at Alpha aims to attract tenants seeking efficiency and connectivity. Today the Chicago Plan Commission approved the rezoning application that brings us one step closer to transforming the former U.S. Steel South Works site into the Illinois Quantum & Microelectronics Park (IQMP)—a cornerstone for quantum innovation. Congratulations to PsiQuantum, IQMP, Related Midwest, Clayco, and all involved city and state teams on achieving this significant milestone today. This milestone would not have been possible without the steadfast leadership and passion of Alderman Mitchell and Alderman Chico. Alderman Mitchell, a lifelong South Side resident, spoke powerfully at the Plan Commission meeting about the opportunity to revitalize the community he’s called home for 55 years, transforming a site long dormant into a hub for innovation and opportunity. Alderman Chico, deeply rooted in the area’s legacy, emphasized the importance of action, highlighting this project as a turning point for the 7th and 10th wards to bring generational impact and jobs back to the South Side. Their advocacy exemplifies the dedication needed to drive real change. The IQMP, anchored by PsiQuantum with a $1 billion investment commitment, will not only lead the world in quantum innovation but also create thousands of quality jobs, develop a robust talent pipeline, and catalyze investments in housing, infrastructure, and parkland for South Chicago residents.
