De La Salle is a famed Chicago South Side high school, and has a long history of producing Chicago's leaders. Among 45 companies, Matt and Alan shared background on banking and careers at Lakeside Bank. They also signed up 52 De La Salle students for April "Shadow Days" at the bank! How do you educate a group of 125 third graders on financial “wants versus needs”? You make it ????????????????????????! Daniel Adler, VP, Market Manager, and Erica Chianelli, VP-Marketing, Events & Community Outreach, of Lakeside Bank became “Teachers for a day” at Roosevelt Elementary Schoo in Park Ridge on Friday. The pair presented a financial education workshop to help 3rd?graders make better buying decisions. Danny and Erica made what could be a boring subject engaging and FUN for all students. Armed with tons of props, skits, and interactive activities, they focused on wants vs needs and explained impulse buying and opportunity cost. ?
