This hands-on program, held twice a year as part of the Economics course, helps students learn real-world financial skills by making budgeting and purchasing decisions at interactive reality stations. Lake Ridge Bank associates had a great week recently at the Wisconsin Association of Campground Owners (WACO) 62nd annual convention in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The week was filled with educational seminars and the largest campground trade show in the country. Lake Ridge Bank is excited to partner with St. Vincent de Paul’s to offer a Microlending program. Since joining this program last August, we have already closed three loans for those in our community. Microloans are designed to provide small dollar, low-interest loans to help with one-time emergency expenses and are usually offered between $400 and $2,500 at low interest rates to provide an alternative to payday or auto title types of loans. Lake Ridge Bank’s partnership with St. Vincent de Paul to offer microloans allows us to give back to our communities, provide much needed financial education and help those in need.
