(Intensive Cardiac Rehabilitation) Program at all three of its Cardiopulmonary Rehab locations — Eldon, Laurie and Osage Beach. The Pritikin ICR Program helps patients recover from a heart attack or other serious heart event. It also helps patients with cardiovascular disease improve their heart health. The Pritikin program focuses on the role of healthy eating, regular exercise and a healthy mindset. The Medicare-approved evidence-based rehab program helps reduce risk factors for those who have experienced a serious heart event. Participants build habits and skills that promote long-term health and well-being. “Numerous studies have shown the Pritikin program’s ability to reduce hospital readmissions while improving blood cholesterol levels, blood pressure, blood sugar control and other measures of heart health,” said Jody Corpe, E.P., M.S., manager of Lake Regional Cardiopulmonary Rehab. “We’re excited to bring Pritikin ICR to our patients and to help them get back to activities they love.” Learn more at lakeregional.com/Pritikin.
