Today America Makes, in collaboration with the Youngstown Business Incubator, hosted stakeholders, and the Leadership Mahoning Valley cohort to commemorate Business and Economic Development in the Valley Program Day. Executive Director John Wilczynski outlined the Institute's strategic initiatives to advance additive manufacturing (AM) nationwide, focusing on the newly established Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace and Defense. John highlighted the significance of the Institute's long standing AM research, its strategic partnerships, and the region's strong manufacturing capabilities as pivotal factors in Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel's awarding of Ohio's fourth Innovation Hub. He underscored the Hub’s potential to reinforce Ohio’s industrial supply chain, drive high-paying, technology-centric jobs to the region, and foster sustained economic growth.
