We are proud to share that LNC was awarded Gold recognition on the AP School Honor Roll for 2023-2024. LNC earned this recognition because 76% of the class of 2024 took an AP exam in HS, 72% of them scored 3 or higher on any AP exam and 29% of the class of 2024 took 5 more AP exams in high school.?Congratulations to our students, teachers and staff for this impressive recognition.?

Lake Norman Charter School, the largest 5-12th grade charter school in North Carolina, is located in Huntersville, NC and was founded in 1998. Students and their parents apply for admission to Lake Norman Charter School and are chosen through a lottery process. Our high school offers a comprehensive College/University Preparatory curriculum, following the NC College/Career Ready requirements, which includes Standard, Honors, and Advanced Placement level courses, as well as complementary elective courses. As part of the curriculum, Lake Norman Charter School also provides leadership integration and service-learning opportunities which instills necessary 21st Century Skills such as civic literacy, critical thinking, and collaboration skills.
