We're delighted the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme has been extended by Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for another year. This means our team (pictured) can continue to work with farmers and land managers across the Lake District to help boost farm resilience and deliver across the themes of people, place, nature and climate. In the Lake District, FiPL has already supported more than 245 projects to a total grant value of approximately ￡4.9 million over the last four years. We’re hiring five Field Rangers to join our Northern and Southern Ranger teams, to carry out and support practical work throughout the Lake District National Park. You’ll enjoy working in the outdoors, have experience of footpath repairs, bridge construction, walling and fencing and be able to deliver practical solutions to problems on the ground. You’ll also have good knowledge and experience of land management skills and be comfortable working successfully alone or in a work team in all areas of the National Park. This is a varied and exciting role that will see you working in some of the most spectacular countryside in the world. Want to know more?
