Last week, the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration Acting Administrator Veronica Vanterpool attended a roundtable discussion held at LACI to discuss the FTA's efforts to fund #zeroemission transportation, major infrastructure projects, and public transportation in Los Angeles and across the country. Administrator Vanterpool announced a full funding agreement of $893M for light rail in the San Fernando Valley! Big thanks to Eli Lipmen and Move LA for leading this excellent conversation. We look forward to welcoming you back at the world-class Los Angeles Department of Water and Power owned La Kretz Innovation Campus again soon. Read more: https://lnkd.in/g4mQ7-aU

???? Visiting Oslo with California Air Resources Board Chair Liane Randolph as part of a study tour for a California delegation lead by Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator (LACI). We visited a construction site located within a neighborhood that is using 100% zero emission equipment! The ZE equipment is either run by batteries that they charge in the evening or are plugged in. This site is clean, quiet, and completely electric! #ZE2028ROADMAP

??? Check out LACI portfolio company, Delphire Inc, in Caltech Alumni magazine!
It has been wonderful to spend the last four years leading Delphire's contribution to the Wildfire problem. Just in time for our anniversary Delphire Inc got a burn notice in the Caltech Alumni magazine! https://lnkd.in/gfmSr5qS This will be a great year for Delphire Inc as we grow in several directions. We may have been quiet lately but surely not standing still. Stay tuned for some big news announcements and partnerships in the coming 6-8 weeks.

This week members of our Transportation Electrification Partnership (TEP) are participating in a professional field study trip to Europe. Our delegation includes policymakers, industry leaders, and transportation experts, and they are stopping in London, Oslo, and Munich to meet with European counterparts to exchange ideas and study models for transportation electrification and zero-emissions goods movement. The delegation will share key learnings from our Zero Emissions 2028 Roadmap (#ZE2028Roadmap), which sets bold targets to accelerate transportation electrification and zero emissions goods movement by the time the world arrives in Los Angeles for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Collectively, TEP has committed to bold climate action and cleaner air not just for the Games, but to benefit all Angelenos–especially frontline communities–for decades to come. Check out our #ZE2028Roadmap here:?https://lnkd.in/gXdXmGXz The first stop in London was a big success. Thanks for meeting with the delegation, Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan.

We are excited to share an excellent piece by LAist 's Erin Stone that helps raise awareness on the environmental and individual health benefits of transitioning from gas to induction stoves. We were proud to lead a recent induction stove pilot alongside the The Energy Coalition, Day One, and Bassett Avocado Heights Advanced Energy Community with funding from the State of California made possible through the support of Senator Maria Elena Durazo and Assemblymember Miguel Santiago. LACI Senior Director of Energy Mayte Sanchez was glad to lend her expertise for this story to discuss the pilot and our 2028 clean energy goals. Read/listen below: https://lnkd.in/gduwqW_A
