From resume building to job fairs, LAHSA’s?Master?Leasing building, #VidaDTLA, is doing what it takes to help our clients get back on their feet! PATH, Metro, ACES Green Path Careers, LACI, and Securitas were the companies represented at September’s Job Fair. Your Image 20/20, a discounted clothing company, also provided our clients with professional clothing for their future careers. LAHSA’s commitment to providing our clients with quality care?goes beyond housing; we aim to uplift our clients as they build their futures!

On Thursday, October 10th, LAHSA CEO Dr. Adams Kellum will be at the Urban League’s State of Black LA event to moderate a panel on “The Future of Housing in Los Angeles.” You can tune into the sold-out event live on?nbclosangeles.com.

The 2024 election is fast approaching, and many of our unhoused neighbors might be unaware that they can still vote, even without having a permanent, fixed address! LAHSA has created a website to assist anyone in need with resources to become a registered voter. Step-by-step instructions, toolkits, and more can all be found at?lahsa.org/vote! With temperatures rising, LAHSA, LA County, and the City of LA have activated their Emergency Response Program. Cooling centers are available throughout the city and county. In addition, through outreach teams, LA County is offering motel vouchers to those experiencing homelessness in Antelope Valley and Santa Clarita. And the?City of LA is doing the same in San Fernando Valley, Metro LA, West LA, and South LA. These services will be available now through October 9!?

This just in! LAHSA?has launched its new?#DataDashboards!?Now, the public can access this new tool to learn more?about insights into the work being done to end homelessness, specifically regarding Outreach, Interim Housing, and Key Performance Indicators.?With just a few clicks, the public can see how many people we have helped in their LA City Council or Supervisorial district, how many people individual programs have assisted, and the performance of their local service providers. This is just another step LAHSA is taking to provide transparency and understanding to Angelenos and concerned citizens alike. When it comes to the homelessness crisis, it's often said that “someone should do something.” At LAHSA, we believe we are those someones. A great example is Tiffany, a problem-solving integration coordinator who learned the importance of taking action at an early age. You’ve absolutely made your mother proud—amazing work, Tiffany!

The Ramos family started living on the street after flooding destroyed all their belongings. The parents were unaware of the resources available to them as they were living in LA alone without any relatives. Their daughter found out about LA-HOP and created a report, which is how LAHSA connected with them!
