Shame often keeps those in need from asking for help. Feeling scrutinized due to one’s circumstances is something our unhoused neighbors face all too often. That’s why we do everything we can to make our clients feel seen and valued. This is true for Daniela and Ivar of Santa Clarita, and we’re thrilled they are back on their feet after abruptly losing their jobs and home. Learn more about their story on our YouTube channel!

Last winter, LAHSA, along with the City and County of LA, shielded more than 2,000 people experiencing homelessness from winter weather. Between congregate sites, pop-up shelters, and hotel/motel vouchers, we provided warm places to stay for people experiencing unsheltered homelessness?during our region’s coldest months. For more information about the Winter Shelter Program, visit lasha.org/winter-shelter or call 211.
