The success of creating and maintaining job opportunities for people with disabilities in janitorial and to develop a state-of-the-art cleaning program was made possible because of the passionate mentoring and love received by the Walker family. “Eighteen years ago, I stepped into my first Janitorial University Class, the Master and Instructor was Mr. John Walker. I was full of concerns and worries...I raised my hand to ask a question. After listening to me, Mr. Walker said, ‘Guido we have chosen a path and will go down that path together.’ And it was true. The Walker Family stayed with us, offering guidance, friendship, and love. Thank you!” - Guido You brought dignity to the cleaning profession and recognition to the workers through the annual award banquet honoring Outstanding Cleaning Workers. Many individuals with disabilities want to work, but can’t. You offered a way to show respect and be fully inclusive of the hard work accomplished by individuals with disabilities every day. March is the birthday month for LAHH and this year we turn 18!!!
