Today, we celebrated a historic milestone at the Lafayette Juvenile Detention Home (LJDH) as Kopelan Vicknair became the first-ever graduate of the Reformative Instruction and Skills Enhancement (R.I.S.E.) Program! This comprehensive initiative is transforming lives by equipping our youth with the tools they need for academic, emotional, and personal success. In partnership with Volunteer Instructors Teaching Adults (VITA), the LJDH's R.I.S.E. Program offers a pathway for students to earn a high school equivalency credential, paving the way to brighter futures. Kopelan’s achievement is a testament to the power of resilience, dedication, and support. We are so proud and excited to see how this program will continue to shape the future for our youth!
