The LAWA Disparity Study Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) is the City of Los Angeles agency that owns and operates LAX- one of the busiest airports in the world- and Van Nuys Airport. With a $500 million average annual contracting budget and $15 billion program to modernize airport facilities, LAWA has commissioned BBC Research and Consulting to conduct a disparity study. The disparity study will assess market conditions, evaluate LAWA's implementation of the Federal DBE and ACDBE Programs, and review other LAWA efforts to enhance contract opportunities for historically under-utilized businesses, including small and local firms, and firms owned by people of color and women.
