The US is in danger! Is India next? The U.S. economy in early 2025 is showing troubling signs of stagflation, with the Federal Reserve reporting growth dropping to 1.7% while inflation rises to 2.8%. Trump's new tariff policies on major trading partners have intensified market concerns, potentially driving up consumer prices while slowing economic expansion. But to have a healthy debate on it, it is necessary to have the basic understanding of what stagflation is. Stagflation is when three bad economic conditions happen at the same time: 1???The economy stops growing or grows very slowly 2???Prices of everyday items keep going up (inflation) 3???Many people lose their jobs (high unemployment) It's particularly tricky because usually when the economy is bad, prices go down. But in stagflation, prices keep rising even though people have less money to spend. Think of it like being sick with a fever (inflation) while also feeling too weak to move (stagnant growth) and unable to work (unemployment). Stagflation is especially dangerous because traditional economic solutions don't work well – lowering interest rates to boost growth could worsen inflation, while raising rates to fight inflation could increase unemployment. As of March 2024, India isn't facing stagflation yet. With GDP growth projected at 6.8% for FY24-25 and moderate inflation around 5.4%, the economy shows resilience. However, former RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan has warned of potential stagflation risks if: 1?? Global oil prices spike significantly 2?? Domestic consumption weakens 3?? Manufacturing sector growth slows 4?? Food inflation remains persistently high 5?? Government spending becomes constrained The RBI and government maintain vigilance through monetary and fiscal policies to prevent stagflation conditions. Now, you will know when Stagflation arrives SHARE ?? to spread this information!

Block your social media and email now! Because the government wants to invade your privacy, Or is it something else? So, Income Tax has introduced the new Income Tax Bill 2025, where they have brought back the 1961 Act with a few modifications. According to the 1961 act, Section 247, tax officials will have powers to access social media, emails, online investment accounts, trading accounts, and banking accounts So that they will be able to prevent any form of tax invasion. But? How will this work? Tax officials will initiate an investigation when they notice significant discrepancies between a taxpayer's lifestyle and reported income. Then they will send an official notice requesting detailed expense and income information. If initial responses raise concerns, tax officials with proper authorisation can examine the taxpayer's digital footprint, including emails, social media, and financial accounts. Only designated officials like joint directors, commissioners, or authorised income tax officers will be able to conduct these investigations. Even though this scrutiny process will affect only 1% of total tax returns, taxpayers can still challenge these actions in court if at any point they feel their rights are violated. This Act will become effective on April 1, 2026, after parliamentary approval, balancing tax enforcement with privacy rights. But there's also a concern of transparency from the govt.'s end Where no official circulars, parliament questions or press releases were available. Now, what are your opinions around this new Income Tax Bill 2025 Let's raise our concerns in the comments

CID finds Laapata Karamchaari! A corporate employee works hard, suppressing their dreams and personal life just to meet deadlines and feed their family. But hidden within their employment contract lurks a trap that can transform them into a "CORPORATE SLAVE" – It's the "Bond" Corporate Bond, not James Bond These employment bonds are widespread in Indian companies, especially in the IT, healthcare, and education sectors. While not explicitly illegal, they operate in a legal grey area. Companies implement 1-3 year bonds ranging from ?50,000 to several lakhs, claiming protection against training investments or early exits. However, Indian courts generally view these bonds sceptically, considering them restrictive trade practices. The key thing employees should know is that no company can legally force someone to continue working against their will, and only reasonable damages tied to actual training costs can be claimed. While companies often use threatening letters and pressure tactics to enforce bonds, these are mostly deterrent strategies rather than legally enforceable obligations. It's crucial for employees to carefully read bond terms before signing and understand that they retain their fundamental right to resign, regardless of bond conditions. Section 27 of the Indian Contract Act strongly protects employees by declaring void any agreement that restricts someone from pursuing their profession or trade, making most employment bonds legally unenforceable. While this law favours employee freedom, challenging a bond might lead to temporary issues like delayed experience certificates or withheld documents. However, companies can only claim reasonable, proven training costs or actual damages, and cannot legally force continued employment. Remember, before signing any contract: 1?? Review all clauses carefully 2?? Document all communications 3?? Keep copies of training records 4?? Know your rights under Section 27 5?? Seek legal counsel if pressured And remember to follow Labour Law Advisor for more eye-opening insights on employee rights that corporations don't want you to know!

Government is offering Free Treatment Up to ?1.5 Lakh On March 14, 2024, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari introduced a game-changing scheme aimed at providing financial assistance to road accident victims. Under this initiative, victims can receive free medical treatment of up to ?1.5 lakh for a period of seven days. Additionally, in the unfortunate event of a fatality, the victim’s family is entitled to a compensation of ?2 lakh. This scheme was initially launched as a pilot project in two states—Chandigarh and Assam—in 2024. Due to its success, it was later extended to four more states: Punjab, Haryana, Puducherry, and Uttarakhand. During a two-day workshop held on January 6 and 7, Nitin Gadkari shared promising insights about the scheme’s impact. He revealed that, so far, 6,840 people have benefitted from the initiative. According to news sources, the only requirement to avail of this benefit is a police complaint filed within 24 hours of the accident. However, several important questions arise: Does the victim need to personally file the police complaint? What happens if the victim has no one to file a complaint on their behalf? In cases where the victim is in critical condition and unable to lodge an FIR, what is the alternative process? What if a hospital refuses to provide treatment under this scheme? These concerns are valid, especially when detailed information from credible sources remains scarce. We have shared the limited information available in the pinned comment below. However, as informed citizens, we deserve complete transparency about this scheme. If you are a government official or possess additional information regarding this initiative, please share it with us at [email protected] Do tag Nitin Gadkari , NHAI and NHA so that they provide us with huge information dump on this game changer scheme

The modern slavery system is killing people! It is the “Kafala System” – a controversial labour framework used in several Middle Eastern countries that gives private citizens and companies nearly complete control over migrant workers' employment and immigration status. Critics call it "modern slavery" due to widespread exploitation, human rights abuses, racial discrimination, and gender-based violence against millions of foreign workers, who often lack basic protections and legal recourse. You must not be aware of it, as this issue was lit up during the 2022 FIFA WC, where around 6500 migrant workers lost their lives. Why did they die? Because they probably had no other option. A worker is bound to work for the same employer at an agreed rate which is below par, as they do not even get minimum wages. They have to work in harsh conditions for several uninterrupted hours, and they don’t even get good food to eat. Hundreds of people sleep on floors in overcrowded dorms, and to add more cruelty to it, they don’t have the authority to raise their voices against the “Kafeels”. If they wish to do so, they’d be declared as illegal immigrants since most of them lost possession of their passports. Migrant labourers are also not provided with quarterly health checkups, which contributed to their sudden deaths. Thus, these conditions remain a constant risk for migrant workers, whether they are already living there or are still planning to go. The kafala system stands as a stark reminder of how modern economic systems can perpetuate human suffering. While millions of migrant workers chase dreams of supporting their families, They find themselves trapped in cycles of abuse and exploitation. Share your thoughts on how we can work together to end this systematic oppression?

  • Indian graduates are not employable! According to India’s Graduate Skill Index 2025 report by Mercer, 57% of graduates are not employable. It’s probably because you didn’t do certain things during your college years. Now, you’re left wondering what to do next. One key reason is that technical skills are easier to develop, whereas non-technical skills take time and consistent effort to master. However, this doesn’t mean that your future is out of your hands. By following these three tips, you can transform your career trajectory: 1. Stop Chasing Money While earning money is important, it shouldn’t be your only priority. Your main focus should be gaining diverse experiences—both good and bad. Learn new skills, attend workshops, start a small business, or organise an event. These experiences will shape your growth, making you stand out in the job market. Along with this, start networking with people—which leads us to our next point. 2. Build Meaningful Connections The relationships you build in college can open doors to unexpected opportunities. A strong network might help you land your dream job or even create new career paths for you. That’s why building real connections is crucial, and this brings us to the final point. Say "Yes" to Opportunities Opportunities often come when you least expect them. You may not always feel prepared, but that’s exactly why saying "yes" is so important. Every opportunity teaches you something—either you earn from it, or you learn from it. And remember, one opportunity always leads to another. So, stay proactive, stay Jagruk, and share this with your friends!

  • Negotiate Your Salary Like a PRO This is what everyone's been talking about, and for good reason! Every HR and candidate wants to ace salary negotiations, but recruiters often use tactics to lower expectations. Be prepared before stepping into an interview! To start, here are four key points you should remember before negotiating your salary: 1?? Identify your skills, strengths, and past experiences to understand your value. 2?? Evaluate if the role aligns with your long-term career goals and growth plans. 3?? Carefully analyze job responsibilities, required skills, and expectations. 4?? Research the company’s mission, values, and industry trends to assess your impact. Once you're in the negotiation phase, be aware of these tactics: ?? A) Anchor Technique This involves setting low salary range to influence your expectations. ?? Example: "Our standard offering for this role is 12-15 LPA" (when the actual budget is 18 LPA). If you’re not careful, you might settle for less than what’s possible. And if that doesn’t work, recruiters sometimes use silence as a tactic—forcing you to speak first and potentially concede more than you should. ?? B) Comparison Leverage Here, recruiters justify a lower salary by comparing you to others. ?? Example: "Our budget is 12 LPA, and we recently onboarded three employees with similar qualifications just like you, so we can't go beyond this." Don’t let this trap you—know your worth before agreeing to anything. ?? C) Information Cascading Instead of revealing the complete compensation package upfront, recruiters share details gradually to make it seem larger than it actually is. ?? Example: They might first mention the base salary, then later add benefits, and finally talk about the bonus structure—making the total package appear more attractive than it is. To counter this, always ask for a complete salary breakdown and be aware of any hidden clauses. Remember, CTC is a vague term—never rely on it alone! If you really want to be in control of the conversation, the easiest way is to have an offer letter from another company with a better salary. Save this post for later & follow Labour Law Advisor for another #QissaEDaftar next Saturday! ??

  • An Indian software developer was called a "scammer" when he went for an interview at a U.S.-based company. When he pointed out flaws in their website, the recruiter became defensive, and the interview took a turn for the worse. Now, Cybercrime is a major challenge facing the world, with the most conservative cost estimates reaching hundreds of billions. While India has produced many renowned CEOs and founders, there is also an India with numerous call centers. With the help of educated individuals, scammers have defrauded people of billions of dollars in the past year Not for fun, but due to the constraints of not being able to find a job here. For instance, Bengal has the highest percentage of scammers in India, at 22.9%. As a result, many Indians face racism when they go abroad for work. Just like this Indian software developer who still accepted the job Even after the recruiter turned hostile Simply due to financial constraints. What do you think about this? Comment below.
